Privacy in Plain Language

We do not surveil. We do not sell. We do not profile. This is a covenant, not a policy.

What we collect

• Your email, if you ask us to send you a project spec. We use it only to send that spec. We do not add you to a marketing list, share it with anyone, or use it to track you.
• Your deposit information, if you contribute to the General Fund or a project theme through the Make it Rain ledger. If you chose to make your entry public, your name and note are visible to other visitors. Your email is never shown publicly — it is held in trust for the purpose of proxied correspondence only.
• Messages sent through the contact proxy are logged so that both parties have a record and so that we can ensure the channel is not abused. No messages are shared with third parties.

What we do not collect

• We do not use cookies for tracking or advertising.
• We do not build behavioral profiles.
• We do not integrate third-party analytics that report your behavior back to a commercial platform.
• We do not sell, rent, or broker data of any kind.

How long we keep data

Project spec emails and subscription records are retained for as long as the idea is live on the platform. Deposit and ledger records are permanent — they are the covenant record of support given. Contact messages are retained for as long as both parties may need them for reference. You may request deletion by writing to ody@wellspr.ing.

Third-party services

We use Resend to send transactional email. Resend receives your email address in the ordinary course of delivering mail. We use Anthropic's Claude to generate ideas and power the Ody advisor. Prompts and responses are subject to Anthropic's data practices. No personally identifying information is included in prompts sent to Claude.

Your rights

You may request to see, correct, or delete any personal data we hold. Write to ody@wellspr.ing with "Privacy Request" in the subject line. We will respond within ten business days.
